How we use your information

Our lawful bases
We rely on performance of a contract (delivering works you have instructed), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running our business securely), legal obligation (tax, CIS and health and safety records) and, where required, your consent (for example, optional marketing).
Sharing your information
We share information only where necessary: with clients and principal contractors in connection with the works, with subcontractors and suppliers, with our accountants and professional advisers, with HMRC and other regulators, and with IT providers who host our systems under written agreements. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Contract, financial and CIS records are kept for at least 6 years to meet HMRC requirements. Health and safety records are kept for the periods required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and the right to data portability where it applies. To exercise a right, contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and transfers
Our systems are access-controlled, role-restricted and encrypted in transit. Data is stored within the UK or EEA where possible; where a provider processes data elsewhere, appropriate safeguards are in place.
